Boston Football Club held its annual fundraising event, the Mighty Mouse Cup at Poole Oval on Saturday night.
It was like a day at the races as syndicates bid on mice to win in the six races held throughout the night, including the ‘Kotz Plate’ and the namesake main event.
The Boston Football Club was done up to suit the racing theme with marquees set up indoors and punters dressed in some fancy race-going attire.
Members of Boston Netball Club also joined the footballers in the night’s festivities.
Boston footballers Sam Kolega and Jack Shanley served as auctioneers and bidding was fierce as each syndicate pulled out the big money to secure who they thought would win each race, each one “trained” by a Boston footballer.
People also had the chance to win prizes, including through a ‘Fashions on the Field’ contest.
