The Port Lincoln Library’s Healthy Brain Hub is going from strength to strength after receiving $250 for additional resources for the community’s dementia friendly zone.

Through Raine and Horne’s community cash program, Port Lincoln residents, Robin and Valda Glover elected Dementia Australia and Port Lincoln Library’s Healthy Brain Hub as a recipient of funding from the sale of their home.

The Port Lincoln Library’s Healthy Brain Hub in partnership with Dementia Australia, provides resources and information for everyone with an interest in maintaining healthy brain function and particularly information and resources regarding dementia.

Library services manager, Louise Mrdjen said the library strives to meet the needs of the community, being inclusive and dementia friendly.

She said the library was committed to raising awareness of dementia and offering support with resources to assist those with dementia and their carers, for those interested in maintaining brain health and understanding how to better support people with dementia.
