Nuclear information session in Kimba

A final Community Information Sessions will be led by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science for the local community of Kimba today.

The Community Information Sessions are an opportunity for the community to ask any remaining questions ahead of a five-week community ballot that begins on  August 20.

The information session will take place at the Kimba Institute from 7pm, with a drop-in session from 5pm.

An expert panel will include: Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) chief executive officer Dr Carl-Magnus Larsson, Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) chief executive officer Dr Adi Paterson and National Radioactive Waste Management Taskforce (NRWMT) prinipal advisor Bruce Wilson.

Community members are invited to pre-submit questions via up until 30 minutes prior to the event.

Questions will be accepted during the events by the moderator.
