St Joseph’s School once again recognised the hard work put in by its students by awarding Mary MacKillop awards on the Saint’s Feast Day.

The school celebrated Australia’s first Saint, St Mary of the Cross MacKillop on her Feast Day on August 8.

The school held a whole school mass, at the conclusion of which eight students from across all year levels were awarded the Mary MacKillop awards by Josephite Sister Joan Barry.

These awards recognise students who strive to achieve their personal best, live out the Gospel values and continue the good works of the Sisters of the St Joseph by looking out for others and lending a helping hand.

After the mass, all students participated in cross-age activities with the older students assisting their younger buddies with activities such as face painting, kite making and various challenges.
