The passionate team behind local theatre group, Passionis Productions, is set to bring their annual show to life by taking the audience on a journey of belonging.

Four Doors follows five people in a strange and empty world as they try to figure out where they belong.

Rebekah Danzic who started Passionis Productions in 2013 with friend Alyssa Biele, described the play as a “fantasy comedy” and a “little musical”, which was written by the group’s write club.

“The main message is that it can be scary trying new things, but it’s about giving it a go.

“It’s an original production that was locally written, and all sets and props have been made by the cast,” she said.

“All of the hard work showcases the incredible talent in Port Lincoln in writing, singing, dancing and acting.”

She said the production had a reoccurring message that if you did not take the first step, you will never reach the place where you belong.

Ms Biele said the play was particularly different this year because it would have some musical elements, featuring both original and public domain music.

MTC dance members will also be helping the cast perform some of the musical dance numbers.

“This production proves the arts are not just happening in big cities, and that we can do it here too.”

“After each production we put next year’s on the back burner, and this one has taken us five to six months to put together.”

She said that the production was family friendly, but recommended parental guidance for anyone under 13-years as there were some mature themes.

Four Doors will be on at the Nautilus Theatre September 21, with doors opening at 7pm.

Tickets to the fully catered production can be purchased at the Nautilus Arts Centre or through their online website.
