GALLERY | Flashback Friday 1995

See the faces that made the pages of the Port Lincoln Times from October to December in 1995.

These pictures provide a snapshot of Port Lincoln and the Lower Eyre Peninsula right in the middle of the 1990s.

The top song was Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio and big movies included Toy Story, Batman Forever and Jumanji.

The man himself, Michael Jordan, returned to the NBA after coming out of retirement during March 1995 while the Australian Prime Minister was still Paul Keating.

The first free Tibet concert was held, featuring the Beastie Boys, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers and A Tribe Called Quest – geez, I still have those all on heavy rotation.

Perhaps not much has change.

Who do you recognise among those who made the news in the Port Lincoln Times 22 years ago.

What were your favourite songs in 1995?
