Quality rams at Glenroy sale

PLENTY of rams in great condition were on offer at the Glenroy Poll Dorset Stud sale at Kimba on August 29.

The Shipard family offered 57 rams and cleared 41 for a top of $2700 and a sale average of $1029.

Ben and Matt Shipard offered the rams in great condition with the Glenroys, Ulandi Park and Ivadene breeding showing out to the good buying crowd.

Glenroy stud principals have been concentrating on breeding quick growing, heavy and robust sheep suited to the South Australian areas.

Top of the sale was still a lamb with measurements of 46.9EMD, 4.5FAT, weighing in at a huge 128kg.

That ram sold to return buyers Greg Trevor and David Inglis.

New local buyers, Zibells, took home six rams and return buyers, the Inglis brothers and Jalebro Park both took home five each.
