SIXTY outstanding rams were offered by the Lienert family at the Oakfarms Merino Stud sale at Kimba last month.

The Lienert’s achieved a total clearance and a top $1700, averaging $950 at their August 20 sale. 

Nick and Jussy Lienert of Oakfarms offered the outstanding rams to a good crowd of repeat buyers.

Colin and Audrey Lienert began selling in 1982 with the aimi to produce rams bred for their size and quality.

The tradition has continued with the Oakfarms 2018 offering averaging 112 kilograms BW with 12 of the boys weighing in at over 120 kilograms.

The top of the sale was lot 46 showing the great depth of the sale team.

That ram weighed a massive 128 kilograms with measurements of 20.1mic, 3.1sd, 15.8cv, 99.4cf, sold to return buyers Blue and Rhett Morrow from Darke Peak.

Repeat buyers attended the sale from Streaky Bay, Port Augusta and the Flinders Ranges attended with locals John and Abbie Villis taking home eight.
