Experience a wonderful weekend of food, wine and ambience in Coffin Bay for the annual A Day on the Bay event.
Now in its fourth year, the committee has decided to change up the program this year with the first ever two-day event.
“This is the first time we've ever tried a two day event to make it a family weekend,” said committee member Ian ‘Beebs’ Beeby.
“The family fun day part will take place on Saturday with kids events down on the foreshore from 1-3pm, but on the Sunday it’s all about the food and wine.”
The event will showcase local oysters and other tantalising dishes with live music, local tours and family fun activities to enjoy over both days.
The weekend will start with a fun activity-filled day for the whole family on Saturday, September 22.
You can check out the kids mini Olympics at the Coffin Bay Yacht Club from 1-3pm with fun activities for the kids.
“There will be fun giant games like Jenga,” Ian said.
The Yacht Club will also be holding a come and try sailing event for a gold coin donation from 10am-4pm on Saturday. For more information call Peter Henderson on 0437 513 006.
Coffin Bay Bowling Club will be putting on an open-gender two bowls triples tournament. Entry is $30 per team, with the chance of cash prizes subject to the number of teams entered. To register your team email firstname.lastname@example.org
Coffin Bay Golf Club will be holding a three-person Ambrose for $10 per person on Saturday with tee off at 12.30pm. Non-golfers are welcome, but everyone needs to have their names in by midday. For more information call Steve on 0427 854 379.
