Port Lincoln pilots will be able to lift their safety skills to new heights at a free aviation seminar on Wednesday which will focus on defensive flying to make the Port Lincoln skies safer.
Pilots will learn more about threat and error management skills at the seminar, such as adverse weather or mechanical problems, as well as communication and situational awareness.
All local pilots are invited to take part in the safety event run by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and held on October 10 at 6.30pm at the Port Lincoln Flying Club.
CASA corporate communication manager Peter Gibson said local pilots would be given practical examples of how to fly defensively to best manage threats and errors.
People attending are asked to book online at https://www.casa.gov.au/standard-page/avsafety-seminars-schedule.
