On Wednesday the Port Lincoln Hotel will once again turn pink for Pink Ribbon Day to raise funds for the local breast care nurse.

The event has been running at the hotel for about five years and will again feature the pink field of women, raffles, pink cupcakes and on the spot prizes to help raise funds.

Sales and marketing manager Sondra Stewart said they are hoping to turn the Eyre Park into a sea of pink, with all donations going to the local breast care nurse.

“We need to thank the Port Lincoln council for lighting up the figs pink and for allowing us to hold the event on Eyre Park,” she said.

“We also need to thank Viterra for lighting up the silos pink for Pink Ribbon Day.”

Ms Stewart said to bring a gold coin donation along to purchase a mini pink lady silhouette and add a card message.

On the day Leading Edge Jewellers, Coco California and The Beauty Collection will also showcase their collections.

The event will run from 10am to 2pm at the Port Lincoln Hotel on Wednesday, October 24.
