The Port Lincoln Police Charity Golf Day makes its return to the local golf greens this Friday after three years.

Last held in November 2015, the golf day aims to foster relationships between the community, business, police and other justice related organisations, while raising money for local causes.

Supported by Port Lincoln Community Bank, the event will be raising money for Variety the Children’s Charity (via the Runaway Brides), Royal Flying Doctor Service (via Tunarama Quest entrant Jessica Smith) and Yarredi Services (via Port Lincoln Women’s Shelter).

Detective Sergeant Rob Humphries said the community had been asking for the event’s return, including the Port Lincoln Golf Club who have helped make this Friday’s event happen.

Detective Sergeant said there were 30 teams registered for Friday’s event.

The day will feature an ambrose event, tee off is at 9.30am.
