Veteran Tod River bowler Craig Dorward was basically unplayable last weekend against Lincoln South at Centenary.

The wily medium pacer destroyed Souths’ middle order claiming the sensational figures of 10 overs, six maidens four wickets for just seven runs!

COLTS T20

Congratulations to Tod River who defeated Tasmans in the T20 grand final. It’s been a little while between premierships for Tod River and it’s fantastic to see their colts up and about early in the season.

A GRADE

Wayback v SES (Centenary)

Wayback went down easily to Charlton last week and need to find runs from the top order and someone who can break a partnership with the ball.

SES went four from four after defeating Tasman in a close match at Wangary. Liam O’Dea notched another 50 and Metcalfe snared three wickets with his medium pace. SES should be too strong and win this match comfortably.

Tod River v Charlton (Dorward)

The battle for second spot between these two sides will be a fantastic contest especially if Tod River welcome back Arthur, Keeley and Calderwood.

Charlton got Ryan Cottrell back last week; he did not bowl but was the best performed batter with 77 not out. Charlton will be looking for skipper Luke Yancic to get a score and all rounder Jack Shanley has been in good form. A full strength Tod River should get over the line at home.

The battle for second spot between these two sides (Tod River and Charlton) will be a fantastic contest...

Tasman v Lincoln South (Ravendale)

Tasman just need a win. Four close loses sees them sitting bottom and needing to get a wriggle on.

Last week’s loss to SES virtually came down to the last over. This week Frick (finger surgery) and Dyer (wedding) will be missing so they will need someone to get a big score. Young George Wilks has looked good and will be keen to go on with a start.

South started with two good wins but have crashed in recent weeks with two heavy losses. No batters really got going for them last weekend and their bowlers did not have a lot to bowl at.

Will be an interesting match but Tasman should get over the line, just.
