Fire on ban day leads to fine

A Port Lincoln woman has been issued an expiation notice after lighting a fire on a total fire ban day.

Police and fire crews were called to an address on Robertson Road, Port Lincoln about 9.50am on Saturday, December 1 after receiving reports of vegetation burning in the front yard.

The occupant, a 45-year-old woman, was issued with a $375 fine for lighting or maintaining fire in the open during the fire danger season.
