Hetuka Zarsho is shooting for his fourth win this season when he steps up to the 1750 meter distance at the Port Lincoln Races family day meeting on Sunday.
All of his runs have been over 1390 metres this preparation and the extra distance of this Benchmark 64 race should be no problem for the John Dunn trained gelding.
The Darryl Carrison trained pair Galaxy Falls and Hard At It are expected to provide the most resistance while Eye The World ridden with cover is also expected to go close. Umaluka can dictate in front and looks the value runner.
Flying Handicap 1210m
Five of the seven runners can win this. Tolstoy was good last start covering ground and found the line well behind Artful Rambler, stick with him.
Hanks Nephew, Debeersonus and Victor Victor are consistant performers at this track and Burnro is the other runner to consider if things went his way in the run.
Benchmark 64 1210m
Burnro is dually nominated and if he accepts in the Flying Handicap then this will leave Purrfect Kisses a good thing in this race. The Brian Clarke trained mare will have no trouble rounding up the opposition at this stage of their preperations.
Benchmark 56 1390m
Oblique Line looks to have returned in pretty good order on what we have seen in his two runs back. He is the each-way selection in a tricky race.
Penultimate Star drops back to a preferred trip, Bearded Dragon, Tilbury and Magnus Magic are also chances.
Class 1 1210m
Another open race and a tipsters nightmare. Tow Rage at odds might be able to find the front and give a sight.
Sheza Profit should be well fancied on much improved recent effort and Whitway could surprise.
Storm Voyager has ability but not a betting proposition until his ducking-in issues are rectified and he races truly especially in these bigger fields.
Benchmark 56 1000m
Rosie Louise looks well placed to win again for Jackie Stoetzer, look for this mare to be strong late.
Bedloe's Island with an economical run on speed can play a part in the finish and expect improvement from Ruby’s Reward if she can find the front.
Stella Vitae is a new addition to the Travis Doudle yard and her form interstate should measure up here. Wicked Kid is improving with racing and is the best of the locals.
Nouvellokova didn't have much luck last start behind Bam, she can win.
Cry Out Loud and Ace De Jouir next best in a race where confidence levels are not high. Final Fields and race starting times will be declared on Thursday.
