For the 17th straight year Community House Port Lincoln is opening its doors on Christmas Day to provide a special feast for the less fortunate in the community.
Each year Community House Port Lincoln puts on a Christmas luncheon for those who have no one to spend Christmas with.
Community House manager Linda Davies said traditional Christmas fare would be provided including hot meats, vegetables and pudding, prepared by the volunteers.
“Our volunteers give unselfishly of their time on Christmas Day to come and spread Christmas cheer to those with less,” she said.
Volunteer Angela Wiseman said she got a “warm and fuzzy feeling being able to give back to those less fortunate and it also makes me appreciate having such a great support system and family that I can rely on throughout the year.”
Bookings are preferred for catering and can be done at Community House Port Lincoln up to December 21.
