Tumby Bay Lions Club prepares for Christmas Pageant

Tumby Bay Lions Club is in the Christmas spirit after a successful Christmas Cake Run at Port Neill recently and is looking forward to the annual Christmas Pageant on December 21.

The club held its annual Christmas Cake Run recently with Father Christmas touring the town as cakes were dispersed throughout the streets of Port Neill.

The Lions Club is now preparing for the annual Tumby Bay Christmas Pageant on December 21, which will begin from Wibberley Street at 6pm.

Mr Williams said 39 floats and motor vehicles would take part this year.

The parade will circulate around the town square, with people invited to Spencer Street after the parade for live music and food stalls provided by local clubs. Father Christmas will once again appear for photo opportunities with the local children.

At the club’s Christmas dinner held at the Sea Breeze Hotel recently, Mr Williams reported the yearly Christmas food hampers the club sponsored had arrived for distribution by the Ministers Fraternal, the club are grateful for its generosity.
