Temperatures to rise again across South Australia

Another week of rising temperatures is set to culminate with extreme highs across South Australia on Thursday.

The state had some relief on Saturday and Sunday after last week’s heatwave, but temperatures will climb again early this week, culminating in a predicted hot, dry day on Thursday, January 24.

In the Iron Triangle, Port Augusta is forecasted to again reach the forties with Tuesday predicted at 43, Wednesday at 45 and Thursday at 46, before it reduced to 35 on Friday and 36 on Saturday before a change on Sunday, to 27.

On Thursday, Whyalla is scheduled to hit 45 and Port Pirie is predicted to have 42 before the change. On the West Coast, Ceduna has an estimate of 37 on Thursday after a high of 44 on Wednesday while Port Lincoln will also have 37 on Thursday.

In the Mid North on Thursday, temperatures are predicted to reach 42 in Clare and Jamestown and 45 in Orroroo and Roseworthy.

Nuriootpa and surrounding Barossa towns will have an estimated 42 on Thursday, while Kangaroo Island will have 39 in Kingscote and Parndarna.

On Thursday the Murraylands is predicted to have 45 in Murray Bridge, Karoonda and Lameroo while on the South Coast Victor Harbor is set for 39.

In the South East, Robe will have 34, but it will heat up inland with Naracoorte and Keith scheduled for 45, and Bordertown 42.
