AWARD: Association executive member Darryl Hage, Southern Eyre association president Barry Kearsley, administrator of the year finalist Chris Gardner and Bowls SA relationship officer Matthew Northcott.

Bowls SA chief executive officer Mark Easton and relationship officer Matthew Northcott were in Port Lincoln recently to recognise local bowls identity Chris Gardner for her fantastic volunteer services to lawn bowls.

Gardner is being recognised for services to the game and has put in a mountain of work which has been recognised at state, association and club level as invaluable to the sport.

Her great work has been in the field of administration where serving as both association and club secretary she ensures that policies, communication and announcements are all delivered at a prompt and professional level.

The time she has spent attending meetings, recording minutes and relaying decisions regarding matches and programming is a thankless task that can often go under appreciated.

With this recognition Gardner is also a finalist for the administrator of the year for the Bowls SA awards night where the winners for each award will be announced on Friday, May 24 at Morphettville.
