The Tumby Bay Bowls Club's Anzac Day cosmopolitan fours tournament proved popular with visiting and local bowlers again this year.
In great weather 14 teams from as far away as Kangaroo Island, Port Elliot, Port Pirie and Whyalla came to play with local teams from within the Southern Eyre Peninsula Bowls Association.
At the end of play there was only one team who had won their three games and with 142 points the Streaky Bay team of Robert and Denise Stephens and Jenny and Peter McEvoy took out first prize.
Six teams were two game winners and only one point separated many.
Second prize with a score of 99 points went to a team comprising of Tumby Bay's Bob Willis and Port Lincoln players Ray and Kathy Hetzel and Barry Hancock.
