The Port Lincoln RSL History Group held the event 'Built to Serve' on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28.
This year was the first time the Port Lincoln RSL had taken part in SA History Month, which had the theme 'buildings' for 2019.
Port Lincoln RSL History Group chose to name its event 'Built to Serve' and tell the story of the evolution of the local clubrooms as well as the work and community service the RSL has been built on.
The event included informative boards, museum items, Devonshire teas, colouring in, poppy making and ANZAC biscuit making.
Visitors learnt of the RSL's ongoing museum work and the need for volunteers while the children enjoyed the activities.
Archive officer Kelly Scholtz was also able to make contact with several descendants of local past serviceman who would be able to help with research in the near future.
