Coles launched its Winter Appeal in Port Lincoln last week for food rescue organisation SecondBite.

About 6.1 million meals have been donated by South Australians since 2011 and for every $2 donation card sold, the organisation can provide 10 meals to people facing hard times and homelessness.

Coles state general manager Sophie Wong said the Port Lincoln store had donated enough for 116,000 meals to local charities like Community House Port Lincoln since partnering with SecondBite.
