Cummins women's golf
CUMMINS ladies played a stableford sponsored by Platinum Hair FX on Wednesday, August 14.
It was also the fourth round of the prestigious J. Bache Cup.
The day brought warmer playing conditions with increasing winds, which helped to dry out the long fairways.
All players look forward to a manicured course when the mower returns from its service.
Sheehan interrupted two birds mating so September should see more birdies over the course.
Galahs were seen flying in pairs until the local Red Baron began constantly crisscrossing the fairways, dive bombing crops on either side of the course.
Modra was seen taking cover in the bunker on number eight.
Wooley was ecstatic when she went to retrieve a ball out of 17 creek and found that it had multiplied.
She returned with a penalty in hand and eight out of the bush.
Division one winner was Liz Blacker from runner-up Kathy Modra on a count back from Tracey Wooley.
Division two winner was Lisa Tiller from runner-up Judy Holman.
The winner of the nine-hole competition was Chris Koch.
Liz Blacker was the division one winner of the Intersport Port Lincoln ball for nearest to the pin (NTP) on 12.
New player Nicole Buddle was the division two winner of the Doug Watson's Mensland ball for nearest to the pin on 12.
Novelty winners for the third shot on the eighth were Kathy Modra (division one), Lisa Tiller (division two) and Chris Koch (nine holes).
Wednesday, August 21 is a stroke round, putting competition and the Patroness Trophy.
Tee duty: C. Koch and Lyn Lemmey-Secker; hostess: J. Holman.
