Eveline Provis celebrates 100th birthday with family and friends

Eveline (Eve) Joyce Provis (nee Danzic) celebrated her 100th birthday at her Sidney Road house in Tumby Bay on Friday, August 9.

She was born at Port Lincoln on August 9, 1919 to Frederick and Elizabeth Danzic.

An afternoon tea was held on Saturday, August 10 with family and friends from South Australia and interstate joining Mrs Provis at the Senior Citizens rooms in Tumby Bay.

Her daughter Fay Southon spoke about her early life, growing up in Port Lincoln and meeting her future husband Ron Provis.

This was followed by the cutting of a delicious black forest cake - her favourite.

A great day was enjoyed by all with a chance for family and friends to catch up.

Mrs Provis received many flowers and cards including messages of congratulations from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Leader of the Opposition Anthony Albanese, the Governor General and local MP Rowan Ramsey.
