A man was arrested after being caught in a stolen vehicle in Port Lincoln yesterday evening.
A Holden sedan was stolen from King Street, Port Lincoln just before 6.30pm on Wednesday, August 21.
Police spotted the car shortly after it was stolen and attempted to stop it but the driver refused to pull over and the vehicle was pursued.
The vehicle returned to King Street where it was abandoned on the dead end street.
The driver fled on foot but was quickly caught by police on Liverpool Street and arrested.
The driver, a 27-year-old Port Lincoln man, was arrested and charged with illegal use of a vehicle and driving while never having held a license.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court today.
