Man rescued from water off Kirton Point

A man has been rescued in waters off of Port Lincoln this afternoon.

The alarm was raised just before 4.30pm on Friday, September 6 after a man on an inflatable raft fell into the water.

Port Lincoln Police attended and spotted the man about 300 metres from shore.

The Port Lincoln SES launched a boat to rescue the man who was pulled from the water and taken back to shore.

He was treated by ambulance officers and taken to Port Lincoln Hospital for treatment.

The man was not wearing a personal flotation device.
