Cummins ladies golf
THE day was programmed as a stroke round, with the final of the monthly medal and the fifth round of the putting competition played.
Of the nine ladies present only three were eligible for the monthly medal final and Leah Carr won it convincingly with a score of net 74.
The majority of the small field found the course damp and heavy and the grass rather long and thick.
There was barely a breath of wind for most of the day but the humid and balmy conditions combined with the intermittent showers throughout the game added to the frustration of good scores.
Players played in one division and the winner was Leah Carr, scoring a great 93/74.
Liz Blacker was runner-up with 100/76.
Joyleen Pedler won the nearest the pin (NTP) ball on number four.
The novelty of the most number of one putts was won by Leah Carr with an amazing result of seven one putts over the course.
Melissa McCracken was very proud of her neat chip in on number 11.
This Wednesday is a stableford round and the fifth round of the J. Bache Cup. Tee duty is Claire Holman and Melissa McCracken and the hostess is Chris Koch.
