This image - from a glass negative - was brought to light by the Port Lincoln History Group.
The glass negative was from one of the history group's regular contributors, Mona Puckridge, and shows her sisters-in-law Mollie and Marjory Puckridge ready for school in 1932.
The girls' hair was plaited by their uncle who was living with the family at the time.
They are pictured with their trusty Old Dolly and buggy, which provided their wheels to get to school.
At school Old Dolly was let loose for the day and cared for by a lady who also looked after all the horses the children rode to school on.
At the end of the day they harnessed Old Dolly up again and home they would go.
