Wool show to support school

The 39th Elliston Area School Wool Show will be held on Saturday, October 19 from 1pm to 10pm.

The wool show will be held at the Elliston Sports Centre and is a wonderful opportunity for families and community members to get together.

The event is the major fundraising event for the school and helps provide students with extra resources to enhance their learning.

The Elliston Area School Wool Show is one of the biggest displays of wool outside the Royal Adelaide Show and provides a wonderful opportunity for local growers to display and discuss their wool.

There will be prizes awarded to the winners of the wool categories and all fleeces entered are donated to the Elliston Area School.

Fleeces can be dropped at the school or at the town oval by noon on Thursday, October 17.

The wool show will showcase a variety of student artwork and enterprise stalls including games and food.

There will be live music during the day, jumping castles, bubble soccer balls, bar facilities and a gourmet barbecue followed by an auction.

Sponsorship and support has been received from businesses, farms and studs across the state.

All proceeds from the annual wool show go to the Elliston Area School governing council.
