Port Lincoln Yacht Club's season runs from Saturday's grand opening day through until Easter next year.
During the winter, however, the club has been very active in performing some renovations upstairs.
"Club volunteers have painted a lot of the upstairs area, giving it a new fresh look. Also, the aluminium windows which needed replacing due to the harsh weather conditions on the foreshore were replaced," spokesperson Andy Dyer said.
The new plan will incorporate a disabled change room and toilet and a much-needed upgrade to the run-down changeroom facilitiesAndy Dyer
"With generous support by lifetime member Kym Clarke of Kym Clarke Constructions, we were able to replace the windows with new windows incorporating sliding doors out onto the deck.
"This will be fantastic for members as well as people who hire the venue for functions including weddings."
The club also received a boost with news it had received a sport and recreation grant for $93,000 to help with its downstairs changeroom facility.

The grant money would also help extend the storage area to enable storage of beach access ramps and a sea wheelchair.

He said volunteers had also worked on club rescue boats to make them ready for the new season and that everyone was looking forward to a great season ahead.
