Youths arrested for Port Lincoln restaurant assault

Four young people were arrested after a disturbance at a Port Lincoln restaurant on Saturday night that left two staff members with minor injuries.

Police went to the Liverpool Street restaurant at about 6.30pm after receiving reports a group of youths were damaging property and had assaulted two staff members.

The staff injuries were minor and did not require medical treatment.

Police located the group in the restaurant and arrested two girls.

Two boys ran off when police arrived but were located a short time later and arrested.

The boys, aged 10 and 11, and the girls, aged 13 and 14, all from Port Lincoln, were charged with aggravated assault, property damage and violent disorder.

The boys were bailed to appear in the Port Lincoln Youth Court on November 18.

The two girls were refused bail and will appear in court on Tuesday.
