As part of Port Lincoln Golf Club's Golf and Seafood Week a men's stableford was held on Tuesday, sponsored by Port Lincoln Times and Dynacast.
A good field took part in the competition, including nine visitors from clubs including Echunga, Tailem Bend, Moonta and Thaxted Park.
Ben Abley won in the A grade with a score of 36, one ahead of Geoff 'Chas' Chambers on 35.
In the B grade Richard Searl had the "score of the day" with his total of 41 to win ahead of Chris Dawe on 33 while Bill Healey took out the C grade with 36, one ahead of runner up John Hussey.
Jake Murray scored an eagle on hole 16 while birdies went to Richard Searl on hole 18, Guy Bagshaw on hole 9 and Robert Fox on hole 6, each winning a $5 voucher.
Nearest the pin were Robert Fox (sixth), Guy Bagshaw (ninth), Geoffrey Chambers (12th) and Jason Verhees (18th).
A women's Canadian Foursomes competition was also held the same day, sponsored by Port Lincoln Hotel.
Twelve groups of players took part including visitors from Coffin Bay, Lake Albert, Mount Osmond, Moonta and Thaxted Park.
Julie Baird and Lynette Kiddey were the winners ahead of Helen George and Elaine Pierik in second and the team of Heather Darley and Carolyn Cocks in third.
