This photograph of the Lincoln Belles women's football team was found in Eric O'Connor's paper collection.
There was an incomplete list of names on the back but The Chronicle newspaper covered the story on August 27, 1953, including all the names.
The excerpt from the Chronicle read:
Who said Football Was A Man's Game?
This team of Port Lincoln belles played the Tasman men's team at Port Lincoln recently.
