Two CFS Region Six cadets had the chance to represent their state at the Australian Fire Cadet Championships at Wesley Vision Valley in New South Wales between September 30 and October 3.

Cadet Bradley Dare (Lincoln) and Sean Norsworthy (Cowell) joined 14 other CFS cadets who participated in this year's games.

Teams of eight took part in eight events across the championships including the pump relay and two tanker events.

Bradley was a part of the CFS Alpha team, which finished sixth out of 23 teams while Sean was in CFS Bravo, which finished 18th.

Bradley, who has been a cadet for more than two years said it was a "wonderful experience" and recommended it to anyone who had the opportunity to represent the state.

"It's helped my leadership skills because I was one of the leaders over there," he said.

Sean has been a cadet for more than five years and said he enjoyed meeting cadets from across Australia and using equipment he had never used before.
