A climate workshop on personal responsibility for caring for the earth will be held at the Anglican Parish Hall on November 9 from 9am to 11.30am.
Former SA Premier and now assistant priest at St Peter's Cathedral Reverend Dr Lynn Arnold will speak at the event.
Community engagement officer at St Thomas Nel Taylor said there were a range of viewpoints about the climate on the EP.
"Whatever your position, there are some undeniable facts like pollution, especially chemicals and plastics," she said.
"The workshop aims to bring the community together over the issues that currently divide us.
"We don't need any more lectures on recycling - what we do need is a vision of how a carbon free, plastic free Eyre Peninsula will look."
Mrs Taylor asked people come prepared with question for the event.
She said it was the church's mission to be "stewards of this earth" and thanked Rev Arnold for speaking at the event.
Nel Taylor said Rev Arnold had his "finger on the pulse" when it came to these issues and he was an inspiring man.
