Before the Lower Eyre Peninsula Baseball League season starts on November 8 the community is invited to come to get a taste with some quick and exciting games as pre season baseball returns to Port Lincoln.
The pre-season carnival will begin with Indians v Saints at 6.30pm, followed by Shields v Coyotes at 7.45pm before the final starts at 9pm.
Games will conclude after three innings have been played, or after a one-hour time limit has expired.
League president Brenton Harvey said there had been pre-season competitions in the past and the league wanted to provide a family-friendly event to give people early exposure to baseball.
"We used to have these all the time at (North) Shields, the Wheatsheaf Cup and we are bringing it back," he said.
The event is being sponsored by 2 Girls & A Scrubbing Brush and supported by the Grand Tasman Hotel.
Entry is free, there are raffle tickets on sale for $5 and the canteen will be open.
The league is inviting anyone with umpiring experience to help out with games.
