Students to perform Christmas ballet classic

Clara's Dream, an excerpt from the much-loved Nutcracker ballet, will be the story for the students of Odette's School of Dance annual performance spectacular on November 22 and 23.

Featuring dancers of all ages and disciplines, this charming tale is bursting with colour, beauty and life.

Filled with magic and mystery, the story tells of a gift - a beautiful wooden nutcracker - which comes to life as a charming prince.

Throughout the two acts, Clara and her Prince adventure afar encountering enchanted lands and meeting sugar plum fairies, candy soldiers, a snow queen and courtiers from all over the world.

It is a world where toy soldiers do battle with an army of mice, and a very cunning Mouse King is defeated.

The magic of Christmas is inherent in this stunning ballet that ignites the festive spirit and excites children for what is just around the corner.

Following Clara's Dream, all classes will showcase their skills learnt during the year.

These dedicated students, aged three and up, will take the audience through perfectly-practiced routines of jazz, tap, contemporary, classical, and more.

The talented senior dancers are certain to impress with their level of expertise and advanced dances, some of which they choreographed themselves.
