A scrub fire burned a hectare of private land near Wangary at the weekend.
The Country Fire Service was alerted to the fire at 4.10pm on Sunday, November 10.
Four tankers and one bulk water carrier attended the scene with 20 CFS firefighters fighting the fire.
Wangary, Coffin Bay, Lincoln and Coulta crews were there until about 8pm that evening with one appliance remaining overnight to monitor the conditions.
The CFS said crews checked again on Monday morning for hot spots to ensure the fire would not reignite.
Local police also attended the scene of the fire and are now trying to determine its cause.
West Coast Local Service Area Superintendent Paul Bahr said it was also normal procedure to send out the crime scene investigation team.
