CHARITY RIDE: Mark Forbes and Trent Adams begin the journey on Sunday.

Mark Forbes and Trent Adams are about to head off on their second ride for the Ronald McDonald house charity after raising about $20,000 this year. The pair first experienced the ride last year when it left from Port Lincoln and were encouraged to return again.

"The charity is very close to our heart, we've actually stayed at the house...this gives us the opportunity to donate more," Mr Adams said.

"It's such a valuable resource for families who need to be close to the hospital."

Mr Forbes said they received support from all over Eyre Peninsula, raising $7000 from their bogan quiz night.

"I've been fortunate not to require the service...what opened my eyes was the amount of people that use the house," he said.

The two riders will join a group of 30 for the seven day, 1000-kilometre ride, which leaves from North Adelaide and travels through Victor Harbor, Tailem Bend, Kingston, Keith, Pinnaroo, Mannum and back to Adelaide. To donate visit fundraise.rmhc.org.au/fundraisers/TEAM-EP.
