The fire was declared contained at about 5.15pm on Thursday evening with crews continuing to monitor the site.
19.5 hectares were burned.
Fire crews and emergency services are currently on the scene of a scrub and crop fire near Poonindie and North Shields.
CFS were alerted to the fire about 12.30pm and currently have four planes and seven trucks on the site near Quartz Hill Road.
About 19 hectares has been burned so far.
They have stopped the fire from spreading however said there were still some flare ups in the gully.
A fire bomber has conducted a single drop over the fire.
Crews are working to contain the fire from the ground.
Between eight to 10 police patrols are also at the scene after being advised by MFS of the fire at about 12.30pm.
CFS have advised those nearby there is smoke and to close their doors and windows.
