Lincoln Auto Club members are gearing up for the club's annual Show and Shine event to be held on the foreshore lawns adjacent to the Yacht Club on Sunday, January 5.
The event is the club's major showcase and will be open to the public free of charge, from 10am to 3.30pm.
Lincoln Auto Club president Rick Price said it would be a quality display of Australian and international motoring history.
This year's event is expected to be larger than previous years because of the influx of tourists from the cruise ship Vasco Da Gama, which is due to dock on the same day, along with a boost in club membership, increasing the number and variety of vehicles on show.
"In conjunction we have some magnificent 'classics' coming from other clubs on Eyre Peninsula," Mr Price said.
Entertainment at the event will include live rock and roll music and rockabilly dancing, and there also will be catering, refreshments and coffee available.
"As one of the largest classic vehicle clubs in regional South Australia, we are pleased to be able to share our passion for classic vehicles with the public on this occasion," Mr Price said.
"We also hope to send the cruise ship visitors away with a memorable visit to Port Lincoln."
