A Port Lincoln man will appear in court after allegedly damaging a statue on the Port Lincoln foreshore late last month.
Police allege that at about 1.45am on December 24 the suspect damaged the 'Tuna Poler' statue located near the Port Lincoln jetty, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Further investigations led police to a 21-year-old Port Lincoln man who on Thursday was reported for property damage.
The man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Police encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour in public areas to report it to the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
