Teakle Classic Adelaide to Lincoln Yacht Race

The 70th Teakle Classic Adelaide to Lincoln Yacht Race leaves Adelaide. About 50 boats will leave Outer Harbour/North Haven on Friday to compete in a 156 nautical mile race, taking them south west to Marion Reef and then along to the foot of the Yorke Peninsula at Cape Spencer. The yachts then come north west past Wedge and Thistle islands before arriving in Port Lincoln's Boston Bay.

Catholic Parish Market

Bring your garage sale to us, situated at the rear of the Catholic Church, 12-14 Mortlock Terrace. Most fourth Sunday mornings of the month apart from December and January. Commencing at 8am for sellers and 8.30am for buyers. Sites are available in the courtyard between the church and the hall and the sites spill out into the car park. The new Port Lincoln Squash Club is hosting free squash on Sundays from Sunday, February 23 until the commencement of a squash competition on March 10. Sundays start 12 noon and finish at 2pm. Teakle Classic Lincoln Week Regatta

The Lincoln Week Regatta kicks off on Monday February 24 until Thursday February 27. The regatta is South Australia's largest sailing regatta for yachts, multi-hulls and trailable yachts, and runs from Monday to Thursday of the week following the Teakle Classic. It provides inshore and coastal courses in Boston Bay and around some of the surrounding islands.

Clean Up Australia Day

Sunday, March 1 marks the 30th birthday of the 'Clean Up Australia' organisation. The Friends of the Parnkalla Walking Trail will be conducting collection of rubbish near the trail from Mundy's Mooring to Kirton Point and from nearby beaches and access roads. We would appreciate help from the public, no matter how much time you can donate. Volunteers must be registered between 9.30 and 10.30am at either Shelley Beach or at the junction of Snook's Landing Road and the trail. Please wear protective clothing and sunscreen. Our group can supply gloves, vests and safety glasses, if necessary. Elderly people & children should bring small bags to use for collection. Pick-up tools could also be useful.
