Friday is here again so it is time for another flashback, this time to August 1990 to see who featured on the pages of the Port Lincoln Times.

Who can you recognise among the photos from this week's Flashback Friday?

In 1990 Bob Hawke was the Prime Minister of Australia and John Bannon was the Premier of South Australia.

On the ARIA charts 'Nothing Compares 2 U' by Sinead O'Connor was the number one single of the year.

In sport Collingwood won their first premiership since 1958 defeating Essendon in the first grand final under the AFL name, in the SANFL Port Adelaide defeated Glenelg in the grand final to win a third straight premiership and 30th overall.

It was also the year of the Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand with Australia finishing with 52 gold, 54 silver and 58 bronze.
