A group of young dancers who continue to enjoy learning their craft are also making a difference to the community by fundraising and distributing donations.

Funds raised from end of year performance by students from the Odette's School of Dance were recently presented to the Eyre Peninsula Community Foundation, specifically to use for its Home Hospice Fund.

The performance of Clara's Dream, which was based on the story of The Nutcracker, was the culmination of the work done throughout the year.

A presentation of $215 was delivered by one of the dance students, Pearl Dessart, to a number of board members recently.

The Home Hospice Service funds after-hours and weekend in-home palliative care and complements the weekday in-home care provided by the palliative care team at Country Health SA.

The foundation enables Eyre Peninsula residents to contribute to the long term benefit of the region by means such as charitable grant-making and philanthropy. For more information visit www.epcf.com.au
