Art equals life-a Retrospective

Join Jane Hutchinson in celebrating and showcasing art work from a number of decades on Friday, February 28 at 6.30pm at the Beer Garden Brewery. Many people would know of, have seen or purchased Jane Hutchinson's paintings and linoprints (like the one pictured) over many years. This exhibition is a wonderful chence to see this prolific artist's journey over many decades, using different mediums such as acrylic and oil paint, pastels, watercolour, pencil and linoprints! Calligraphy will also be shown as this was a big part of what Jane has practised and taught. This kaleidoscope of experience is evident in the variety and breath of work at the exhibition. The opening will also feature music by the well known and accomplished Drew Cornell. So come along and celebrate with Jane a life in art.

Clean Up Australia Day

Sunday, March 1 marks the 30th birthday of the 'Clean Up Australia' organisation. The Friends of the Parnkalla Walking Trail will be conducting collection of rubbish near the trail from Mundy's Mooring to Kirton Point and from nearby beaches and access roads. We would appreciate help from the public, no matter how much time you can donate. Volunteers must be registered between 9.30 and 10.30am at either Shelley Beach or at the junction of Snook's Landing Road and the trail. Please wear protective clothing and sunscreen. Our group can supply gloves, vests and safety glasses, if necessary. Elderly people and children should bring small bags to use for collection. Pick-up tools could also be useful.
