The Kallinyalla Garden Centre held a morning tea on February 18 to celebrate owner Stephan Ebert's 40 years at the centre.
Mr Ebert, who owns the business with his wife Leonie Ebert, started working there when he was 15.
During his time the business had been under three separate owners, starting with Trevor and Margaret Hancox in 1968, followed by Richard 'Tom' and Stella Jones in 1980 and finally Mr and Mrs Ebert in 2016.
To celebrate the occasion the community was invited to a morning tea which included free coffee by Eyre Roasted and free donuts by Port Lincoln Bakery.
Lucky door prizes plus potted colour where all on special to add to the celebrations of the morning's event.
About 50 people attended with Mr Ebert happy to receive so many well wishes.
"It's all just part of the job, I come to work each day and the years just roll on by," he said.
Mr Ebert is passionate about his gardening and about helping the community and customers with his vast knowledge which is put to good use.
