Drug driver caught near Tumby Bay

Police have reported a local man for drug driving after he was detected near Tumby Bay on Monday.

Just after 10.30am an Eyre and Western Highway patrol stopped a 29-year-old Arno Bay man, driving a Holden sedan on the Lincoln Highway.

The man was drug tested and allegedly returned a positive result for cannabis and methamphetamine.

He was reported for drug driving and will face court at a later date once forensic testing of his sample was complete.

Police checks also revealed the man's car was unregistered and uninsured and his car was defected for non-compliant lighting.
