Port Lincoln L-plater caught drink driving

A local L-plate driver has lost her licence for 12 months after being caught drink driving in Port Lincoln early Wednesday morning.

At about 2.20am police stopped a station wagon on Stamford Terrace and administered a breath test.

The driver, a 25-year-old Port Lincoln woman, allegedly returned a positive result of 0.155.

Further checks on the woman's licence revealed she was a Learner driver.

The woman was reported for drink driving and breaching the conditions of her licence, lost her licence on the spot for 12 months and her car was impounded for 28 days.

She will face Port Lincoln Magistrates Court at a later date.
