Three drug drivers caught Tuesday

Three drug drivers were caught in Port Lincoln on Tuesday.

Just after 12pm, a sedan was stopped on Mortlock Terrace and the 29-year-old driver from Port Lincoln tested positive to cannabis.

Just after 2pm, a sedan was stopped on Liverpool Street, and the 19-year-old driver from Port Lincoln tested positive to methamphetamine.

He was arrested for carrying an offensive weapon and for possession of prescription medication.

The passenger, a 27-year-old Port Lincoln man was also arrested for carrying an offensive weapon after a knife was found hidden down the front of his jeans.

Both were bailed to appear in court at a later date.

Just before 3pm, a station wagon was stopped on Shepherd Avenue and the 33-year-old driver tested positive to meth.

Further checks revealed her licence was suspended and she will appear in court at a later date.

All drivers may face further charges once forensic testing is completed.
